Wonderful food wonderful people wonderful prices,we went with the family several times this summer- during rain and shine and believed we were really back in ITALY. WONDERFUL !
Well I have to say I came back to London for the weekend, and my friend took me to this place, well Mimo was an insparation, and the food was even better, well worth a recommendation.ENJOY
I had two great meals at la Buffala. I found the service is friendly and the food compares very favourably to a lot of other places in Hampstead. More expensive than Scala but easier to get a table. One of my friends who always hates EVERYTHING actually liked it. We were gobsmacked!
The food is amazing! The service is not!
Absolutely bad...... the pizza was uneatable...the service... what service? Very expensive, not recommended...

This pizzeria was really good, not anymoreThe pizza was really bad, the salsicce were uneatable, the service nonexistent. Bad bad bad.
Absolutely extraordinary Pizza!the best i ever had, i'm 40, i have been looking for great pizza's all over the world, including Rome, New York, Florence (but not Naples, yet), Brussels, Paris, etc...If you are disappointed, try again, they might have more than one pizzaiola, I was there for lunchtime, on a Wednesday. (in March 2008)Best spicy olive oil i have tasted (fresh, spicy, capers) very good dough (but maybe a bit too thin) fantastic toppings, mozzarella di bufala is an option worth taking, great artichokes.I had the capricciosa with buffel mozzarella.Good coffee and grappa and the romanian waitress was very friendly, I guess I was lucky to be one of only 8 clients (i was the first client of the day, 1 minute passed noon)The menu is interesting, I have not tried anything else yet, intuitively I would go for the pasta with buffalo sausages etc, not the more elaborate dishes.but with a pizza like that, it's very unlikely that I will ever have anything else there.
This is a place where you will not get loungy setting with a stiff upper lip service. This is the place where you get the best Italian food I have had in London. And the surroundings are a bit crude - and yes children are loud, but that simply fills the place with life - just like it should be in an Italian family restaurant.

eh? What's-a all this? Delia Silvestri? Nobody's called Delia Silvestri...ooooh, what a coincidence, the first name of a famous 'cook' and an Italian surname....yes, and Cartetto...is it my imagination or is this a bit similar to another cook, namely Antonio Carluccio? That last question was rhetorical, but this one isn't...could this be James again pretending to be Italians thus undermining La Bufala's image? I answer for you: yes.I am aware of the irony that I too happen to share the name of a celeb cook, but my parents were big fansP.s. La Bufala rules!
